TV changes

Has anyone else out there thought it strange that the Disney show "The Wiggles" features a food-a-holic (Anthony) and a narcoleptic (Jeff)?

What about Nick JR's "Dora The Explorer" featuring a kleptomanic (Swiper)?

What ever happened to good old wholesome kid's shows where the characters just chased, shot, blew up, or otherwise mutilated each other (Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Tom & Jerry, etc). Those were the good ole' days.
