Who's idea was it to paint arrows on the road to tell you which lane to get into? If the road is busy, odds are the arrows will be covered with cars. And if you live in places like Maine, the snow covers the arrows for 5-6 months each year, and the salt, plows, and rain do a great job of eating them away for the rest of the year.
